This blog is for McKLinky Blog Hop. I'm new at this so hopefully this works! This blog is for favorite baby pics. I have so many, being the mom of four beautiful children, but my newest addition to the family is who I am going to have to put in this blog. This was taken this summer at our local zoo
when my parents came for a visit. This was Cailyns first time at the Zoo, not that at 6mos she knew where we were, but she did have fun looking around and watching the animals. I think she enjoyed me carrying her around in the carrier more than anything though. We had a great day at the zoo and we really enjoyed the time we spent with my parents and this picture says it all!

Being a new mom can be exciting, scary, happy, and sad all the same time. It will be full of sleepless nights in the beginning, stressful at times trying to get to know your little ones wants and needs, but in the end you will never know how much love your heart could possibly hold until you have a child of your own. It is hard to conceive that you can possibly love another human being so much, care so deeply, and be willing to go to the ends of the earth for them. Yes you may know lots of different kinds of love, a love for your spouse, a love for a parent, a love for a friend, but a love for a child is so deep that to experience it you must have a child of your own.

How is it that we only have a short time to enjoy the little moments when our babies are young?! They grow up soooooooooooooo fast! As I am getting all my kidos ready to go back to school, it hit me, like a great big slap in the face! My daughter is going to be a Senior in high school and my oldest son a Freshman! I can not believe it! I had my first two children pretty young, had my daughter at 20yrs old. You don't realize starting a family that young, how much you should cherish all the little moments. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy or love my two older children, but you want them to crawl, sleep through the night, be potty trained and do things for themselves, without realizing they are only babies for a short while, a very short while!
Having two more children later in life sheds a totally different light on things. I appreciate all the little moments! I don't mind getting up in the middle of the night, I don't care that my 7month old isn't crawling, I don't mind my 5yr old crawling in bed with us in the middle of the night, because I know very soon the inevitable will happen. She will crawl, sleep through the night, be potty trained, and those interrupted nights of Ryan coming in our room will all come to an end. SO.... I cherish every little step I have with them no matter what it is.

Feed Your Faith, Not Your Fear
The bottom line is that you have a choice. You can feed your fears, or you can starve them. Both fear and faith will be with you every minute of every day. But the emotion that you continually act upon--the one you feed--dominates your life. Acting on the right emotion lifts you to success, while acting on the wrong one starts you on a disheartening detour.
Feeling the fear and moving ahead anyway depend on changing your thought patterns from "fear means stop" to "fear means go." Mark Twain urged, "Do something everyday that you don't want to do. This is the golden rule for acquiring the habit of doing your duty without pain."
The irony is that the successful person who keeps growing, taking risks, and moving forward feels the same feelings of fear as the one who allows fear to stop him. The difference comes because one doesn't let fear dominate while the other does.
You need to remember that what
happens in you is more important
than what happens to you.

I had to post this! This is so true, we can either let fear or faith guide our lives. It's seems sometimes no matter how hard I try to keep faith and press on about making this website and having faith that God will bless my work, that I will be able to stay home with my children. That fear of having to return to work is still there, in the back of my mind. I try to make a conscious effort to speak out loud that God will flood me with his blessings in my life, spiritually, financially, and in my family, so today I make a stand, a stand of faith! I believe with all my heart that God will bless my work financially and spiritually! Thank you Lord for your blessings! ![]()

When I was growing up, my mother was a horror buff. The first "real" book I read was Itby Stephen King. I loved Stephen King and Dean Koontz to name a coupleof authors. I also grew up watching Horror movies. When I was around 6(not sure of exact age), Poltergeist was my all-time favorite movie. I could say the words with it as it played.
Overthe years, my taste has changed, but I still pick up christianhorror/suspense/thriller books. Ted Dekker is the author I have beenreading lately. His books are ok, but I just finished reading Black. It was a pleasant surprise for me. It was a fantasy book! I NEVER read fantasy books. I read The Hobbit when I was young and I liked that, but that is as far as it goes on my fantasy book experience. Black amazed me. It had just enough reality to keep me interested, mixed in with the fantasy. Now, I will move on to Red. It is the next book in the series. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next!
My absolute favorite book is Though None Go With Meby Jerry Jenkins. It is a wonderful, inspirational story, that justcaptures my heart. I NEVER read a book more than once. I don't knowwhy, it just is not something that has ever interested me. However, this is a book that I have read twice and I wouldn't be surprised ifI pick it up again some day and read it again.
They made a movie outof it. I was so excited to see it. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! They totallydestroyed the beauty of the story. I know they have to condense a storywhen making a movie, but they took out the most essential elements. Iwonder if Jerry Jenkins was pleased with the end results? I am surethose that watched the movie, that had never read the book, may haveenjoyed the movie, but I did not.

Transitioning Baby From Breast Milk/Formula To Solids.
This is an exciting milestone for your baby, but there is a RIGHT and a WRONG way to do it. I know, I know, most people don't like to raise a baby "by the book" and there really isn't a black and white answer for all of your baby's needs and concerns, but starting solids is one area that I think is black and white.
Give That Baby A Pork Chop!!!
Feed That Baby Some Real Food!!!
Why does it seem like people are in such a hurry to stick things in babies mouths that don't belong? "He wants a bite of this cookie," or "she wants a drink of coke". It drives me crazy! Babies do not know what a cookie or coke tastes like, so how could they want it? I believe that if you give babies sugary foods from the start that's all they're gonna want to eat. My grandfather used to chew on his pork chop bone until he got every tasty little bit of meat and fat and crispy goodness off of it. When my daughter was less than one year old he used to try to give her his pork chop bone to "gnaw on"....
Take It Slow.
Let Your Baby Be The Boss?!?
Breast milk or infant formula provide for all of your baby's nutritional needs up to the first 4-6 months of life. So there is NO reason to start solids before that. Starting solids WILL NOT help your baby sleep better or longer. Baby's intestinal tracts are not fully developed during the first few months of life. So when your mother-in-law tells you it's OK to put some cereal in your baby's bottle SHE'S WRONG! I trust my pediatrician more than any one giving me an old wives tale. Starting solids to early can cause your baby to develop certain food allergies...

I received this from an associate through Limu and wanted to share with everyone.
" Take Hold of Your Freedom "
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery"
(Galatians 5:1, NAS).
TODAY'S WORD just for YOU...
So many people today are missing out on the freedom that God has in store for them simply because they’re always running from their adversities.
They’re continually running from their challenges or difficulties, content to stay right where they are. And I know that it’s sometimes difficult to stand against the enemy. It can be uncomfortable to confront our challenges in order to take hold of freedom. But I believe that it is actually more difficult to run from our challenges than it is to stand and face them.
See, if you’ll face your challenges, then it will only be a temporary difficulty.
But if you spend your whole life running from your challenges, it’s as if they never go away—like a ball and chain around your ankle, those challenges will follow you everywhere you go.
But that doesn’t have to be you! Instead, stand firm on God’s promises. Declare His Word over your life.
Ask God to give you wisdom and direction as you face the difficulties in your life so that you can take hold of the freedom He has prepared for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father in heaven, thank You for freedom through Christ Jesus. I choose today to stand firm on Your promises. I choose an attitude of faith and expectancy knowing that You are leading me in paths of victory all the days of my life.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
